Project Chronos was specifically created to liberate macOS users from cloud-bound AI tools that require uploading sensitive local folders:
- Zero File Uploads: When you press ⌘J to inspect a folder, read PDF reports, or search duplicate files, your file contents are analyzed entirely on-device.
- No Remote Indexing: The Chronos directory catalog and vector embeddings are stored exclusively in your Mac's sandboxed local application support folder.
- Apple Silicon Neural Engine: Semantic search and classification leverage your Mac's M-series Neural Engine hardware for whisper-quiet, local processing.

For conversational natural language questions requiring frontier cloud models (Claude, GPT-4, Gemini):
› PROXY ROUTING: Direct peer-to-peer from your Mac to provider (Zero Oni X relays)
› DATA PRIVACY: Zero training on customer queries by default
Your API keys communicate directly from your Mac to the provider over encrypted TLS 1.3 tunnels. Oni X LLC operates zero intermediary servers.

Project Chronos contains zero user tracking code, zero analytics SDKs, and zero telemetry beacons. We cannot see what files you organize, what searches you perform, or how often you summon Finder AI.
